Time to revive this dead blog...

Attended an IT course today... It was "Using Blog (Weblogs) for Teaching & Learning" in the morning by Chris Smith. Boring! It should be named "Learn how to set up a Blogger account in 1 hour 30 minutes!"
The second half of the lesson was more interesting where Chris shared some very useful links and tips. His www.shambles.net website is amazing! All educators visit it now!

The afternoon lesson was "Podcasting for Teaching & Learning". Again the title is so misleading. It should be "Learn how to use Audacity (free audio editing software)"

This is what I've created:

Still serving my 1-yr sentence at the institution. Life got better as I got to know some of the other fellow inmates. Get to be on parole the week after next. Have to report to my parole officer at PJC. Yay, it’s within walking distance from my house.

Haizz, in order to have the greatest job in the world, i have to endure a year of torture. I shall persevere.

You're the super-slacker!!
Homework?
What's that? Studying? Not in your vocabulary.
You hardly study and almost never do your work
and yet, by some divine intervention, you're
still surviving. And you come to school so
un-often, your teachers have pratically
forgotten that you even exist. Go, you slacker,
you!!

In another 7 hours i'll have to attend my first class in nie and i'm still bloging. Super-slacker? Go figure.

Stayed in office till almost 8 today… got to see the lights go out again. Was rushing essay outlines that should have been submitted like a week ago. nvr take out my homework on fri cause I thot can take it on sat. forgot that sat was a public holiday and the office alarm is on so couldn’t do anything over the weekend. not as if I could do much anyway over the weekend as we had ARC camp from fri to sun. enjoyable but tiring. got to lay on the parade square to watch stars and tok kok. contributed to the usage of the classroom projectors by connecting up an x-box. nvr underestimate the capacity of ip boys to play x-box. at least now soon hoe can’t complain that each projector in the classrooms is only used for 3 min on average in an entire year.

Between work, cca and archery training… there’s not much time to do other things. Let’s c…things I KIVed:

1. call and catch up with jas, mj, mh & estuyo
2. visit winnie and give her wedding gifts
3. movie date with cat, pass her ultra-super-belated bday gift
4. sushi date with jac & yw, pass jac the strategy txtbk
5. return story book to prof wong and give thesis to basant
6. start to jog regularly again with gh
7. get arrow points from eric, install points and fletch a dozen xx75, tune bow to new arrows and train adequately before indoor shoots in june
8. get receipt from terriss
9. tutition for yx, prepare for mid term exam
10. update on Alvin
11. outing with the maddies
12. see doctor for my ultra itchy, vampiric rashes
13. return to vietnam
14. oh yar… must oso remember to go sign the bloody bond on sat cause last day liao

Question: How do you know when the weather is too damn hot?
Answer: When the bloody PC overheat and reboots as you are typing your blog.

now what was i typing... c if i can recall...

I think i'm falling in love with no. 1 and no. 2! they r the best boss i've ever met ( heheh, that doesn't mean much, considering they r my first boss ever).

no. 1 OKed the ‘archery within shooting club’ idea when gilbert spoke to her about it... talk about forward looking leadership... i mean how more forward looking can one get if she can [A] approves of a cca that doesn't have a (ccab-recognised) interschool event (yet) and therefore [B] earns the college ZERO points for the sustained achievement award thingy but yet [C] will potentially drain precious financial resources from the college. now all i have to do is to convince the rest of the cmc... especially hIm. can't have gilbert fight all my battles. haven't decided when or how to settle this... have i got enuff ammo? or should i conspire with terriss in his plot to replace the current aas dynasty and thru the new-and-improved (i hope) aas, get the attention of sssc and ccab. But this will take forever since the agm is in june and moreover aas has enuff trouble getting support from ssc as it is. Then again, I dun have to go thru all this bs. i can always use no. 1 to override hIm. But i’m very reluctant to do this… least of all cause he’s a good person and a fren. more importantly, i’m still not 100% sure that njc is the ONE. Am I prepared to start the war and see it to the end?

haizz, to date the college has yet to give archery a single cent. hmm... maybe the college already did... no. 1 did agree to let me use $100 from the shooting club budget for the cdans affiliation fees. Oops… this reminded me… have yet to get my receipt from terriss… must ask from him tomolo… if not I can’t claim my 100 bucks. Toking abt money, i just got my first credit card statement today. Man was I shocked. How the hell did I spend almost $600 in the past couple of weeks? nice Citibank electronic statement even have a pie chart that breaks down my spending into different category… Entertainment 57%... Transport 23%... Shopping 3%... Others 17%. wah kaoz, even my consumption pattern oso can automatically break down. really makes one wonder what kind of data Citibank is keeping abt me.

Anyway, back to the fantastic leadership in school… no.2 damn solid man… finally we have someone who can walk the talk… she’s one of the very few people who can say “student-centered” and I actually believe she meant it. wah seh, her reaction to Friday’s fiasco was rather unexpected… her emails actually sounded quite sincere … i mean, no. 1 and no. 2 are handling this matter personally man! Now that’s student development. NJC will no longer churn out apathetic sheep into society, (It's alive!) muhuhahahaha.

terrible way to begin my blogs... just discover that i always start my blog with "terrible blag blag blag"... not that my life is miserable. far from it... so enjoy my days in njc... teaching is so siok!

was bitching with james abt the hao lao shi... hope i'd nvr be corrupted by the dark side and turn out like her one day... brrr.

terrible tuesday time table... lessons in the first 3 periods straight... how dare they take away my oppportunity to be huai lao shi by having breakfast in sch.

really hungry by 1120... then drove tehsi n gl out to orchard. tehsi needed some vouchers from kino. just as well that we r going to taka... i could finally get the lao sai tea for my mum from unicity. initially wanted to eat jap food but not enuff time so settled for mos burgers. extremely slow fast food... nvr gonna eat there again.

brought yan yun, jiang shui, siew ee, vince and jason to the cdans lvl 1 archery course at nite...can c they all zoned out during the "lecture". got home after midnite... almost fell asleep at the wheel. so glad to reach home in 1 piece. stopped at mobile to top up petrol. saw this kinder bueno lucky draw so bought 4 packets... hope i win the really cool canon ixus camera and portable printer.

terrible start today... went to sch still half asleep. heck... was still half asleep when i stepped into class. coughing like mad in the morning... thot i was gonna fall sick or something... must be my allergic reaction to work acting up again cause i miraculously feel all better at the end of the day... hehe... went to play badminton with cp and pooh some more.

Wanted to do mcq today but every class sure got someone didn't do... haizzz must explicitly say must do then will do... sebeh jialat ah. Anyway oso good… didn’t have the energy to teach today. Tried to give them time in class to finish it but a few oso bochap… rather waste time tok kok sing song. One even stone… wat a waste, one of my brightest kid some more… must come up with more engaging stuff in class. every class’s ability so disparate… how to keep everyone awake, haiz.

siao liao… haven’t mark the essay test yet… still must rush the prod & cost worksheets. crap.

p.s. bcos brent asked so nicely… I will mention his name here…. ahem…BRENTIE… the end
